Duration: 2 days. The refresher course can be taken up to a year prior to and five years after the expiry date of the original NRSW card. Once the expiry date has been reached, Supervisors will not be qualified to undertake their work until they take the reassessment NRSWA course. A Streetworks supervisor does not undertake any physical works and works to plan, monitor and supervise the works and the operatives.

Course overview

This course has the following units:

LA – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
S1 – Monitoring, signing, lighting and guarding
S2 – Monitoring excavation in the highway
S3 – Monitoring reinstatement & compaction of backfill layer
S4 – Monitoring reinstatement of sub and road base in non bituminous material
S5 – Monitoring reinstatement of bituminous materials
S6 – Monitoring reinstatement of concrete slabs
S7 – Monitoring reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways

Assessment

The delegate will be assessed through a series of open book and multiple-choice exams answered online.

Certificate

Following successful completion, a CABWI certificate will be issued and an SWQR card can be applied for both lasting 5 years.
