An overview of the SMSTS Training Course:
After successful completion of the course, the delegate will have the skills to implement relevant health and safety legislation, offer current guidance and work to best practice. In addition, the individual will also have a thorough understanding of their responsibility with regard to health, safety, welfare and the environment.
Every SMSTS course will cover the following:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013
- Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
- Working at Height Regulations 2005
- Provision & Use of Work Equipment 1998
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

Certificate:
The certificate lasts 5 years after which the SMST Refresher 2-day course will need to be undertaken before the existing certificate expires.
